on reflection.

Despite the fact that current stocks of bean bags are running very low (don't panic, plenty more are expected in next week) we are extremely well stocked on our new ranges of mirrors.

It has been a while since we have been able to find a competent mirror supplier that we trust, so we are very pleased that after a lot of searching we have come across something that we think is pretty special.

Our first full stock order to arrive is now out on shop floor and adorning our walls already, and offers mirrors for almost all tastes and budgets.

Simple framed 4' x 1' mirrors have always proven to be popular, as have 3' x 2', while those looking for something slightly more extravagant may be tempted by exhaustive range of decoratively framed mirrors that come in a range of sizes, including heavy leaning mirrors.

And the most impressive so far, are the breathtaking statement pieces that are by no means cheap, but really stand out and will certainly be a talking point, whether they are displayed in a lounge, a dining area, or a bedroom.

Amongst all these mirrors are also a small number of framed pop art and iconic images, as well as some tasteful mirrored butterflies, that will almost certainly be picked up as Christmas gifts.

And talking of the festive period, our staff are also gearing up for Christmas, having booked the work 'do' over the weekend and begun picking names out for our Secret Santa.

dark evenings

Now that the clocks have gone back and we are now plunged into darkness before the end of the working day, we have been busy trying to rearrange and brighten the shop up in order to reflect the seasonal shift.

As mentioned last time, the 'Order Now for Christmas' signs have been dusted off and hung up in our windows, and a couple of dining ranges are proudly displayed at the front of the shop, alongside the continually popular Corona bedroom range.

We have also had two other new additions to our ranges joining us recently, at our Crews Hill showroom we have installed a display of the modern and stylish Altro-B furniture, and just last week our Enfield Town branch gained a new range in the form of Dimension 3 Elegant.

And the Bean Bag areas in both of our branches have also had a little bit of a make-over to make them feel more cosy now that the winter chill is starting to set in.

how many sleeps until christmas?

As memories of summer fade, and the winter clothes come out of storage it does seem to be a little bit crazy to be thinking about Christmas already.

But in the furniture trade we do have to plan ahead and warn people of our supplier's cut-off dates, and this means that we are heading into the season where tables and chairs are very much in demand as families prepare to have their friends and in-laws over for dinner.

As well as changing over our displays and hanging our 'Order Now for Christmas' signs, we are also looking at products that you may consider picking up as presents, either for someone else or for yourself.

We're expecting our bean bags to prove popular in the run up to Christmas and shall be getting a few seasonal alternatives in stock nearer to December, and we have just received new range of mirrors and framed pictures which we will soon be developing an expanded and dedicated display of.

Corona and Cotswold ranges on display

While the shop may still be in a state of flux, we have been trying to find the right time and the right way to display two new ranges that were delivered to us recently.

The Corona and the Cotswold range are now both on our shop floor and we shall be moving one of them into our front window display and changing things around a little bit as soon as we get the chance.

We have usually shied away from supplying flat-pack furniture but will be making an exception on these ranges in order to keep prices down (although we will also offfer our customers a chance to have their items built prior to delivery).
